Case Study: Volunteer Management Website

I want to document a short case study of our volunteer management project with WordPress. The website is a basically membership website that paid member organizations can post their volunteer opportunities and candidates can apply for those opportunities. There are over 6,500 users, over 500 volunteer postings (Custom post type), 66 meta fields. Plus there are lots of functionalities including:

  • Online store where they can sell event tickets and membership subscriptions.
  • Auto email responders.
  • Auto invoice issuing.
  • Member protected content such as valuable resource content.
  • Event management.
  • User-friendly member’s dashboard.
  • Mobile-friendly design.
  • Yoast SEO.
  • and much more.

As you can see, this website is huge in terms of content and database. Yet, the site performance was graded A when tested on GTmatrix.

If you’re creating a membership website, volunteer management, job board management and event management, this case study video may be informative.
